Education

Stefan Đokić graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Zagreb in 2015. During his third year of study he was named a teaching assistant at the Chair of Civil Law. He took part in the ERASMUS programme, spending a semester in the academic year of 2014 studying at the Faculty of Law of the University of Regensburg, Germany. Whilst studying in the German language, he passed exams in Corporate Law as well as Social and Labor Law.

In 2015 he started his professional career at the Law office of Ranko Đokić.

On the 1st of June 2017 he passed the Bar Exam with 90 out of a total of 100 points, whereby receiving an Official Commendation from the Exam Committee, consisting of Supreme Court judges as well as Deputy State Attorneys of the Republic of Croatia.

On the 27th of June 2018 he was sworn in and on the 28th of June 2018 he is registered as an attorney at the Croatian Bar Association.

In October of 2017 he started the Postgraduate Master Programme (LL.M.) at the University of Regensburg, Germany. During his Postgraduate studies he researched and wrote a comparative study of Real Estate Purchase Contracts in Croatia and Germany. The study aims to compare and contrast the two legal systems, while offering possible reform ideas for the Croatian legal system. On the 8 th of May 2019 he passed the final exam, for which he was awarded the title of Master of Laws - LL.M.

Scientific work

As a coauthor he is working on the 5th issue of the NOMOS commentary of German Property Law. His is tasked in writing a comparative analysis of the Croatian and German systems of Property Law, with an emphasis on the changes Croatian law went through after becoming part of the European union. The commentary is published by NOMOS Publishing and the German Bar Association. It is meant to be a practical commentary which will mostly be used by German attorneys and notaries. Previous issues have been quoted in many decisions by German courts.

Languages

By decree of the president of the County Court in Pula, Ref. No. Su-885/15, from the 28th of December 2015, he was named a Court appointed interpreter of the English language. In March of 2016 he took part in the Cambridge English Proficiency exam, which he passed with the grade "A" and was awarded the C2 level of English knowledge.

On the 19th of September 2017 he passed the DSH Exam (standardized test in the German language which is a neccessary requirement in order to apply to postgraduate programmes on German universities) with a result of 88%. He thereby acquired the highest (C2) level of proficiency in the German language.
